Coco Deck Lahaina Partners with Kahākūkahi Ocean Academy Through Q3 2026 Round-Up Program

At Coco Deck, community is at the heart of everything we do. With that being said, we're excited to announce that our Round-Up Program beneficiary for the third quarter of 2026 is Kahākūkahi Ocean Academy (K.O.A.), a local nonprofit dedicated to inspiring Maui's youth through ocean education, mentorship, and environmental stewardship. Along with our Hana Hou Hospitality sister restaurants (Mala Ocean Tavern, Pizza Paradiso, and Pineapple Robot), guests can round up their checks from July 1 through September 30, with every penny donated directly to support KOA's programs.

Founded by world champion waterman Zane Kekoa Schweitzer, KOA creates free, hands-on experiences that connect keiki with the ocean while teaching water safety, confidence, resilience, and the importance of mālama ʻāina and mālama kai. Through ocean adventures, environmental education, and cultural learning, KOA helps shape the next generation of leaders and ocean stewards.

Since the Lahaina wildfires, the organization has expanded its outreach across West Maui, offering mentorship, mental wellness support, and meaningful opportunities for local youth to reconnect with the ocean and their community. By partnering with schools and community organizations, KOA continues to make these life-changing programs accessible to more Maui families.

While Coco Deck may be known for great food, cold drinks, and catching the big game with friends and family, we're equally proud to support organizations making a lasting impact on our island. Partnering with Kahākūkahi Ocean Academy is one small way we can give back to the community that has supported us through every chapter.

The next time you stop by Coco Deck for lunch, happy hour, dinner, or to watch your favorite team, consider rounding up your check. Those extra cents may seem small, but together they help provide Maui's keiki with opportunities to learn, grow, and build a lifelong connection to the ocean.

Mahalo for helping us make a difference, one meal, one visit, and one round-up at a time.
